Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd. seeks an Analyst to own analytics quality and drive process engineering initiatives across production analytics. You will improve data quality, governance, and automation within a complex asset management environment.

You will contribute to data management, analytics pipelines, and risk control practices while collaborating with stakeholders across teams in a hybrid work model in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, data science, or a quantitative field.
  • CFA or FRM designation is an asset.
  • Experience in data management or asset management is an asset.
  • Practical experience with analytics pipelines and related tools.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and validate accuracy of calculated analytics across systems.
  • Analyze data-quality exceptions and support timely resolution.
  • Manage and enable scheduled processes that compute analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Enhance analytics governance through scalable, automated processes.
  • Identify, mitigate, and elevate process risks and implement controls.
  • Act as analytics expert and escalation point for process questions.

Analyst, Analytics Quality and Process Engineering

Are you interested in joining one of Canada’s top-performing asset managers? We are looking for an Analyst, Analytics Quality to join ourProcess Engineering (PE) team. The ideal candidate is an individual contributor who takes ownership of the quality of our production analytics, and the continuous improvement of our processes. What You Will Do

  • Maintain and validate the accuracy of calculated analytics including performance, attribution, and risk values across multiple systems.
  • Analyze data-quality exceptions and support timely resolution and signoff.
  • Manage and enable scheduled processes that calculate, save, and validate analytics.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and address common points of failure.
  • Enhance our analytics governance framework by ensuring processes follow design best practices, are scalable, and automated.
  • Identify, mitigate, and elevate process risks. Implement appropriate controls.
  • Act as an analytics expert and an escalation point for process questions.

What You Bring

  • An undergraduate degree infinance,data science,or a quantitative field. Completion of a relevant designation, such as the CFA or FRM, is an asset.
  • Experience in data management, business process design, asset management, or a similarly complex environment is an asset.
  • You have deep knowledge of data management or investment analytics, are a systems thinker, and take ownership of your work. You have a proven track record of delivering quality data in a timely fashion.
  • You have practical experience with the tools and systems used in modern analytics pipelines. Experience with Python,SQL,AIprogramming assistants (e.g.GitHub Copilot), automationand scheduling platforms (e.g.VisualCron, Prefect), anddata platforms(e.g.Databricks,Microsoft Fabric)is an asset. Experience developing AI solutions and programming (Python, SQL) is an asset.
  • Passionate about technology and are committed to continuous learning. Youapply andintegrateemerging technologieswhere they add value.You bring the “art of the possible” to solution design.
  • Strong problem solver who canidentifypatterns, generate insights, and approach ambiguous problems with structure and creativity.
  • You cancommunicate complex concepts clearly andbuild alignment acrossstakeholders at all levels. You have a collaborative spirit,can navigate different perspectives, and promote alignment toward common organizational goals.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate process risks, and elevate issues proactively when needed.
  • You can use judgement to make sound decisions in a timely fashion under ambiguity. You can work independently and proactively propose solutions.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
