The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for the Full Year End cycle, including the preparation of Federal and Provincial tax slips and summaries. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded to deliver precise pay within deadlines.
  • Enforcing rules governing collective agreements and HR management.
  • Monitoring departmental time entry records.
  • Assisting employees, supervisors, and time approvers with Time-related inquiries.
  • Acting as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders and the Payroll department.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and functionality of the Time & Attendance system, including modifications, absence requests, leaves, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Recommending process improvements.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • You have 3-5 years of Payroll experience, including full year-end cycles and tax slip generation.
  • You have excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written.
  • You are proficient with SAP and Workforce systems.
  • You have strong knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • You are a team player, autonomous, dynamic, with strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and organizational abilities.
  • You are detail-oriented, results-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment under pressure.
  • You maintain confidentiality and demonstrate resourcefulness in resolving obstacles and challenges.
  • You are skilled in problem-solving and analytical techniques, capable of proposing solutions and questioning discrepancies.
  • You are recognized for initiative and independent judgment, especially in troubleshooting complex issues.
