Purpose

The Analyst contributes to the success of the Loan Operations team in Toronto by managing a portfolio of medium to complex corporate loans and letters of credit. This involves acting as the lead Agent Bank for syndicate lenders or providing direct or bilateral financing to customers. The role ensures data accuracy, accounting reconciliation, and proper record keeping for assigned loans, supporting the team’s strategic objectives. All activities must comply with relevant regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? You will:

• Foster a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank resources.
• Administer instructions from Agents on participations and customers on direct and agented deals, including verifying limit availability, calculation accuracy, and fund disbursement.
• Ensure adherence to terms and conditions of loan documentation, including pricing, terms, and amounts.
• Identify and escalate policy exceptions to management for resolution.
• Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
• Pursue operational efficiency while maintaining effective controls to manage operational risk, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk, following frameworks and guidelines.
• Promote a high-performance environment by attracting, developing, and motivating the team, fostering inclusion, and managing succession planning.

Skills

• Finance or business-related studies or equivalent experience.
• Experience servicing corporate loans preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Work Arrangement

This role is currently hybrid, subject to change based on business needs. Non-standard hours and holidays may be required.
