The role requires a Finance degree, 3–5 years in markets, CFA interest, and proficiency with Bloomberg, Python or R. Strong analytical, communication, and independent work skills are essential.

Ocean Capital has an opportunity for an Investment Analyst in our Saint John or Halifax locations. This position reports to the Director-Investments and will support the Investment team and have direct involvement in the complete investment process for all asset classes including fixed income, public equities, alternatives and private equity.
Provide analysis of internally and externally managed portfolios.
Provide regular reporting & analysis for investments, summarized as follows:
Daily & weekly portfolio reviews.
Monthly performance reports.
Quarterly investment report to the Board of Directors.
Perform research projects to identify and analyze investment themes and ideas.
Assist in the evolution of processes related to investments.
Use Bloomberg terminal reporting to facilitate holding specific and portfolio level analysis.
Annual review of Investment Policy Statements.
Assist in sourcing and implementing new tools to further improve and automate processes.
Interface with Ocean Capital’s investment managers and advisors on a regular basis.
Ensure investments are in compliance with Investment Policy Statements.
Stay current with economic and market news and grow in understanding of financial markets.
