Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

What’s the Opportunity?

The role is part of Group Risk Management - Insurance within GRM, focusing on risks oversight on ALM management, including risk governance, monitoring and reporting and providing technical analyses and support for the Actuarial and Investment functions.

What Will You Do?
  • Prepare, distribute and help interpret risk reports for internal and external use.
  • Assist in risk monitoring from various perspective to ensure that they are compliant to risk management policies, procedures, limits, and guidelines.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data from a variety of sources using multiple tools and techniques.
  • Assist in developing action plans to resolve issues. Re-design processes to better manage, measure, and monitor financial risks.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must-Have Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring Finance, Risk or Actuarial Science. Other relevant majors are acceptable if accompanied by demonstrated knowledge of Financial/Risk/Actuarial concepts.
  • Capability to learn about new tools or new systems to be able to perform on quarterly/monthly reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and lineage, and problem solving. Self-motivated, details oriented and ability to work on multi-tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel (inclusive of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Relevant working experience as a financial/risk/actuarial analyst in Insurance or Finance Industry.
  • CFA, FRM or relevant certificate is an asset
