Supports the end-to-end Accounts Payable process. Provides guidance to resolve processing issues and meet service level and quality expectations in compliance with policies and procedures. Offers ideas, advice, and recommendations for process improvements to enhance quality and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as a subject matter expert for complex problems.
- Serves as a point of resolution for escalated issues in the absence of the Manager.
- Supports the development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performs quality reviews of invoices to ensure compliance and identifies training gaps or supplier management issues.
- Participates in change management activities of various scopes.
- Facilitates cross-training activities for new analysts.
- Supports the manager by coordinating workflow and reviewing daily production, escalating concerns as needed.
- Processes timely and accurate daily financial transactions.
- Executes routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries within service level agreements.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- Resolves processing issues in accordance with policies, procedures, and service level expectations.
- Supports the safekeeping and destruction of departmental financial documents.
- Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyzes data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Focuses on a specific business or group as needed.
- Proposes creative solutions and exercises judgment to diagnose and solve problems.
- Works independently, with broader responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Professional accounting certification is an asset.
- Experience in accounts payable, financial concepts, and workflows.
- Knowledge of financial and corporate processes, including sales tax legislation for relevant jurisdictions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and work independently.
- Fluency in French and English required to support operations outside Quebec.
