Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a Program Analyst for the Avionics Program Management team in Dorval, QC. The role drives a portfolio of critical avionic projects, leading cross-functional teams and external suppliers to successful completion.

You will own goals, schedules, budgets, and risk management across programs while presenting progress to senior leadership. Minimum 5 years PM experience with aerospace exposure is expected, along with bilingual capabilities in English and French.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business.
  • Aerospace technical/manufacturing background is an asset.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; 8+ years is an asset.
  • Demonstrated initiative, results-driven, decisive.
  • Strong PM experience with leadership, analytical, planning skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication; able to influence at multiple levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Bilingual English and French collaboration with Quebec and global teams.
  • Willing to work on-site at Montreal facilities at least 2 days a week.

What are your contributions to the team?

The Program Management Office is seeking a highly motivated and results driven programs analyst to join its Avionics Program Management team. In this role, you will be responsible to drive a portfolio of business-critical avionic projects to successful completion. The selected individual will lead a cross-functional team, including external suppliers, and oversee all aspects of the execution of their projects.

In your role, you will:

  • Articulate the goals and objectives of the program, and how it will impact the business;
  • Own the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of your project portfolio;
  • Establish & present project schedules and business cases, and guide the cross functional team towards defined project milestones;
  • Establish and track metrics to monitor performance and progress, prepare status reports and modify schedules and plans as required;
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to cross-functional teams;
  • present project schedules, business cases and updates at regular reviews with senior management;
  • Identify key project risk items, with corresponding risk mitigation or reduction strategies;
  • Escalate to the appropriate level of management as needed;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of schedule, technical scope and commercial impact;
How to thrive in this role?

You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business;

You have a technical or manufacturing background in aerospace (considered an asset);

You have at least five (5) years of relevant experience; possessing eight (8) or more years of experience would be an asset;

You possess initiative, are results driven, and have the desire to make decisions;

You have strong project management experience, team leadership skills as well solid analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities;

You possess superior communication skills (written & spoken) and the ability to influence at different levels of the organization;

You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and still deliver on commitments;

You have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project);

You are able to work in both English and French in order to effectively collaborate with colleagues in Quebec and elsewhere in the world;

You are able to work at least two days per week on site at one of our Montreal facilities;
