Time Type: Regular Job Description : Cogeco Communications, a publicly-traded multinational telecommunications company, is looking for an Analyst, Strategy and Corporate Development to join its team in Montreal. Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, the Analyst will play an active role in supporting the company's growth plan, actively participate in supporting key strategic decision processes, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions as well as capital allocation decisions. This individual will also perform analyses for organic growth projects and produce sector comparative analyses (benchmarking).
The role provides the opportunity for meaningful exposure to senior leaders in the organization, as well as seasoned advisors covering our industry
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
WORK EXPERIENCE 2 to 3 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or management consulting.
Established financial modeling and valuation skills, built upon a thorough understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts, a strong attention to detail and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proven ability to perform complex analyses and solve problems, including being comfortable with manipulating and analyzing large datasets
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English. The employee will collaborate with stakeholders outside of Quebec.
Autonomous team player, with the ability to work independently as well as interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Intellectual curiosity/Interest in learning on operations, technology and financial markets.
Proficiency using mainstream LLMs and other AI tools in the context of producing high quality analyses
Experience in the telecom industry will be considered an asset.
