What is the opportunity?

As an Analyst/Associate in our Credit Transaction Management team, you will work closely with Corporate Banking (“CB”) and Global Markets (“GM”) Sales & Trading to support the growth of the corporate loan book and trading businesses. You will manage a portfolio of borrowers within the Global Credit division of RBC Capital Markets and collaborate with other groups within Capital Markets and the Bank to provide comprehensive credit and banking services to large corporate clients.

Role specifics

• Position level: Analyst or Associate, depending on background and skills.

What will you do?

You will be responsible for administering an assigned portfolio of borrowers, including multinational and large corporate lending relationships, and supporting several Corporate Banking teams. Your key responsibilities include:

• Corporate Banking Support: Provide transactional support including credit requests, loan proposals, and cash management requests.
• Portfolio Transaction Management: Review and approve draw requests, develop expertise, ensure compliance, and participate in regulatory/audit deliverables.
• Annual Reviews: Complete timely reviews of existing credit relationships with high quality standards.
• Data Integrity: Accurately reflect credit agreement terms in systems and review related documentation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with key internal groups.
• Other Responsibilities: Support ad-hoc projects and present to stakeholders as needed.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Relevant experience (1-5 years) in banking, lending, finance, or risk management.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial and legal documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple demands under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
