Job summary

Queen's University is seeking an Analyst to join the multidisciplinary health services research team at the Centre for Health Services & Policy Research in Kingston. The role focuses on creating datasets, conducting SAS-based analyses, and preparing outputs for dissemination to stakeholders across Ontario.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in a quantitative field, strong SAS/SQL skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team in a hybrid Kingston location.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a solid quantitative background in statistics/epidemiology/public health.
• Experience with SAS programming (including SQL and macro writing).
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work with databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data set creation plans and analysis plans for assigned projects.
• Develop SAS programs to extract and merge data from ICES databases to create study cohorts.
• Carry out statistical analyses on study cohorts per project analysis plans.
• Prepare analytic outputs (tables/reports) and liaise with PI/Research Coordinator.
• Interface with stakeholders and support dissemination of findings across Ontario.

Our work includes the study of diverse clinical areas, such as cardiovascular disease, dementia, and oncology, and projects will include the study of basic epidemiologic trends, treatment safety and effectiveness, patient decision-making, and health policy.Reporting to the ICES Queen’s Site Director and Local Lead Analyst.
