Responsibilities

  • Commissioning and integration of AMR systems at client facilities throughout North America, including travel for on-site deployment and integration with other automated and simple equipment.
  • Support detailed solutions design of AMR systems using Ramp products to meet customer requirements, including creating tailored solutions for logistics processes.
  • Design AMR maps and develop software logic using third-party systems and PLC logic.
  • Author and execute acceptance test plans for system validation.
  • Optimize system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Communicate project status and technical details to clients and team members.
  • Participate in project planning for software and integration deliverables.
  • Provide training to end users and new team members.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues with internal and external teams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop new product requirements based on lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve solutions.
  • Support technical setup for demonstrations and trade shows.
  • Track expenses such as job costs and travel.
  • Ensure activities adhere to ethical standards and company policies.
  • Follow health and safety rules at all sites.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • At least 2 years of experience with commissioning and integrating industrial automated equipment or software interfacing with equipment.
  • Ability to travel within North America.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.

Education

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, design, industrial controls, or related field.

Experience

  • Experience working directly with clients / end-users.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • PLC design and integration experience with platforms like Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron, etc.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with AMR / AGV systems integration.
  • Training users of automated equipment / software.
