Entain is seeking an AML/ATF Compliance Officer to act as the formal representative for its regulated Canadian business. You will design, implement, maintain and oversee a robust Canadian AML/ATF compliance programme in line with FINTRAC and provincial gaming requirements.

Reporting to the Head of AFC - International, you will own the AML/ATF framework, lead risk assessments, and provide governance across the Canada business, working with multiple teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely

• At least three years of experience in senior AML/ATF compliance or MLRO-like role within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF laws, FINTRAC expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience designing and maintaining AML/ATF frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Job Description

As AML/ATF Compliance Officer, you will act as the formal representative for Entain's regulated Canadian business. You will have responsibility for the design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing oversight of an effective Canadian AML/ATF compliance programme.

Reporting to Entain's Head of AFC - International, the purpose of this role is to ensure and enhance compliance with applicable Canadian AML/ATF obligations, FINTRAC expectations, provincial gaming regulatory requirements, licence conditions and Group AFC standards.

Other key responsibilities include:

• To own, maintain and enhance the Canadian AML/ATF framework across all applicable licences, ensuring it remains effective, proportionate, risk-based and aligned with local regulatory expectations and Group AFC standards.
• Lead the Canadian AML/ATF business risk assessment, identifying, documenting, understanding, and mitigating money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and related financial crime risks through effective controls.
• Develop, maintain and embed clear AML/ATF policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide senior AML/ATF oversight and decision-making on key matters.
• Oversee the effective operation of FINTRAC-related reporting processes, identifying, escalating, reviewing, and submitting reportable matters in line with applicable legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain clear governance, decision-making and escalation records to evidence the effective design and operation of the Canadian AML/ATF compliance programme.
• Prepare and present meaningful AML/ATF management information, risk assessments, control updates and regulatory insights to Canadian leadership, Group AFC and relevant governance forums.
• Act as the trusted AML/ATF subject matter expert for the Canada business. Partner with commercial, AFC operations, risk, product, technology, legal, and regulatory compliance teams to provide practical guidance and support.
• Support internal and external audits, conduct regulatory examinations, and lead independent reviews of the Canadian AML/ATF framework, ensuring you clearly own actions, track remediation, and deliver improvements in a timely manner.
• Represent Entain in meetings and engagements with regulators, industry bodies, trade associations and other external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Do you have at least three years' experience in a senior AML/ATF compliance, designated compliance officer, MLRO or equivalent role within a regulated environment?
• Do you have strong knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF laws, regulations, FINTRAC expectations and regulatory compliance programme requirements?
• Do you have experience designing, implementing and maintaining AML/ATF compliance frameworks, including policies and procedures, business risk assessments, training programmes, control monitoring and effectiveness reviews?
• Do you have experience overseeing suspicious transaction/activity escalation and reporting processes, including FINTRAC reporting where applicable?
• Do you have experience engaging with regulators, auditors, senior management and governance forums on AML/ATF matters?
• Experience in online gambling, sports betting, gaming, payments, fintech, banking or another high-volume digital regulated sector is desirable, but not essential.
• Professional AML qualification such as CAMS, ICA, ACAMS or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
• French language capability would be advantageous where relevant to Canadian regulatory or operational coverage.
