Job summary

Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) invites applications for an Elementary Occasional Teacher on a long-term assignment. The position is a 1.0 FTE role with a daily rate of pay ranging from $292.63 to $618.32 per day, as outlined in the ETFO - OT Collective Agreement; compensation is prorated based on FTE.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or have a transitional certificate from the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Must hold the required divisional qualifications to be eligible for this position.
• Demonstrated experience in the duties of a teacher as outlined in Regulation 298: Operation of Schools.
• Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management).
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
• Note – a Criminal Reference Check is part of the requirement process.

Daily Rate of Pay: $292.63-$618.32 per day, as outlined in the ETFO - OT Collective Agreement; prorated based on FTE accordingly.
