Job summary

Medavie Health NL Inc. is seeking a Billing Administrator for permanent, on-site work in Newfoundland and Labrador. You will prepare and follow up on ambulance billing, process PCRs, post invoices, and support collections while delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• A business degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution.
• One to two years’ experience in office position, including data entry and billing/accounting experience.
• Knowledge and/or expertise in finance and accounting preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized accounting software.
• Effective oral and written communications.
• Possess interpersonal skills in dealing with individuals and teams.
• Proven and effective customer service telephone skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and use various computer billing and reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational skill.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and information; leads by example and time management.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Shared Services Billing Manager, responsible for preparing and following up on all billing related ambulance service.
• Reviewing and processing all PCR from billing region using a PCR and designated accounting/recording program.
• Post and process invoices related to ambulance services daily.
• Provide required call data to NLHS as required.
• Respond to customer inquiries and receipt payments for invoices.
• Demonstrate conflict resolution and effective decision making.
• Oversee collection activities including AR reports, mailing, statements, and credit bureau adjustments.
• Provide high-quality customer service for a high volume of billing inquiries, collections, and bill payments.
