AltaGas is seeking a Projects Engineering Co-op Student to gain hands-on experience in planning, design, and delivery of capital projects within our Midstream business. You will work with engineers and project professionals, supporting field activities and project execution across multiple lifecycle stages.

The role offers mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to cross-functional teams, and opportunities to engage in capstone projects while developing practical energy-industry skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering co-op program pursuing a relevant degree.
• Available for a 16-month term beginning January 2027.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.

Responsabilités

• Support planning, development, and execution of capital projects.

About the Role

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience supporting large-scale energy infrastructure projects?

As a Projects Engineering Co-op Student, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project professionals to support the planning, design, execution, and delivery of capital projects across AltaGas' Midstream business. You'll gain exposure to engineering design, project development, stakeholder collaboration, construction activities, and technical problem-solving while developing practical experience in the energy industry.

This role may include opportunities to travel to operational facilities and project sites to support field activities, gain exposure to project execution, and learn firsthand how engineering projects are delivered in the field.

What You'll Do

• Support engineering and project teams with the planning, development, and execution of capital projects.
• Assist with technical reviews, project documentation, engineering deliverables, and project coordination activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Contribute to cost, schedule, risk, and project performance monitoring activities.
• Support project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities while gaining exposure to multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance engineering and project execution processes.

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering co-op program pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Process, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Available to complete a 16-month co-op work term beginning in January 2027.
