Job summary

Canucks Sports & Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our event staff for Canucks games, Warriors games and concerts at Rogers Arena. Alcohol Hawkers carry trays of beverages and provide friendly service during high-volume events.

This part-time, hourly role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and completing the Serving it Right certificate. Availability on weeknights, weekends and holidays is essential to join our fast-paced hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Able to work Canucks and Warriors games including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely.
• Ability to walk/escalators in a large venue for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry trays of alcoholic beverages throughout the concourse and into the bowl.
• Provide premium level quick service with energetic guest engagement.
• Perform other duties as required to support the hospitality team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Alcohol Hawkers carry trays of alcoholic beverages around the concourse and into the bowl, providing efficient and friendly alcohol service to our guests. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position. A typical shift includes:

• Providing premium level quick service carrying trays of alcoholic beverages throughout the concourse area and into the bowl
• Offering up-beat, energetic sales to guests
• Other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must be able to work Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Warrior games, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a start time of approximately 5:30pm
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely carry beverage trays and walk throughout the venue, including up and down stairs, for extended periods.
• Completion of Serving it Right Certificate
• Strong communication and listening skills and the ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries
• Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience
