Job description

We are seeking an experienced Airport Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our airport construction project at Lester B Pearson Airport. This role involves working closely with all team members to ensure project goals are achieved on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company and airport safety policies.

Key Accountabilities:

• Site Operations & Supervision
• Schedule Adherence and Optimization

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and instruct the construction team and subcontractors.
• Coordinate construction activities proactively with client operations.
• Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager and client.
• Conduct H&S risk analysis, inspections, enforcement, and management.
• Keep accurate records of employee attendance.
• Analyze blueprints to ensure compliance with design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Recommend operational or procedural changes to improve efficiency.
• Provide weekly reports to the project team.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in airport construction site supervision.
• Knowledge of airport construction codes.
• Certifications in Supervision, CPR, First Aid, and Working at Heights.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain good relations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Effective planning, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and working under pressure.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Project).
• Hands-on experience with construction techniques such as carpentry, drywall, framing, and site layout.
• Flexibility to work days and nights as needed.
• Familiarity with areas like HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing is an asset.
