Job summary

Paradies Lagardère in Vancouver is seeking a friendly Barista to deliver first-class service at the airport location. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare beverages to spec, and handle payments using a POS system.

This part-time role requires excellent English, strong guest focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Training and tips are provided, with emphasis on safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required.
• Customer service focused and solution oriented.
• Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change, and cash handling procedures.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
• SERV Safe Certification or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and take drinks and food orders quickly.
• Operate coffee making equipment and maintain cleanliness.
• Prepare and present beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Accurately total, process, and collect payments via POS.
• Handle money and cash transactions with security.
• Support other restaurant areas as needed, including seating and stock work.
• Assist with new team member training and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with food safety laws.
