Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Software Application Developer to join its Production Configuration Services team. You will support configuration and delivery of Crew and Operations Management software for airline clients, using Python and a proprietary rule language (Rave).

You will work closely with customers to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and maintain strong client relationships, while collaborating with internal teams to improve delivery processes.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of Python experience.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience using version control tools (Git, GitHub, or GitLab).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English (Spanish a plus).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of Python experience.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with customers to gather requirements and understand business objectives.
• Configure and customize Crew Planning and Operations software using Python and a proprietary rule-based language (Rave).
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly explain design decisions to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and delivery efficiency.
• Develop and execute automated test cases using a test-driven development approach.
