Job summary

Execaire Aviation, a leader in private aviation in Canada, seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) - Support to help ensure safety, airworthiness and availability of our aircraft. This role blends hands-on line maintenance with delegated maintenance control responsibilities, coordinating activities with partners and certifying work under ACA authority.

The ideal candidate brings a Transport Canada AME license (M2) and 5–10+ years in aeronautical maintenance, with strong MEL/CDL

Qualifications

• Valid Transport Canada AME license (M2).
• 5–10+ years of aeronautical maintenance experience.
• Experience in commercial air operator maintenance control or fleet coordination.
• Strong knowledge of CARs, MCM, MPM, and OEM data.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Traxxall, AMOS).
• Bombardier business jets experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance per OEM data, CARs, and manuals.
• Support aircraft rotations, short-notice requests, and AOG situations.
• Certify maintenance tasks and sign return-to-service documents under ACA authority.
• Ensure maintenance actions are documented, traceable, and compliant with records requirements.
• Ground an aircraft if safety or airworthiness is compromised.
• Manage MEL/CDL deferrals and related procedures.
• Serve as primary maintenance control contact for crew, OCC, and maintenance teams.
• Provide real-time technical support for departures and operations.
• Evaluate defects per MEL/CDL and procedures within authority limits.
• Coordinate internal and external AOG events and mobilize approved AMOs.

Job Overview:

Put your technical expertise and operational judgment to work in a role that directly contributes to the safety, airworthiness, and operational availability of our aircraft. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) - Support, you will combine hands-on line maintenance and certification responsibilities with delegated responsibilities related to maintenance control.

You will play an important role in maintaining regulatory compliance and operational reliability of aircraft, by performing and certifying maintenance work, coordinating maintenance activities with internal and external partners, and exercising delegated maintenance control responsibilities in accordance with the approved Maintenance Control System.

What you will do:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance in accordance with OEM data, CARs, and company manuals
• Support aircraft rotations, short-notice operational requests, and AOG situations
• Certify maintenance tasks and sign return-to-service documents for work performed or supervised under ACA authority
• Ensure all maintenance actions are properly documented, traceable, and compliant with technical records requirements
• Exercise the authority to ground an aircraft when safety or airworthiness is compromised
• Apply and manage MEL/CDL deferrals, including M procedures, placarding, operational limitations, and rectification tracking
• Act as the primary maintenance control point of contact for the flight crew, Operations Control Center (OCC), and maintenance operations
• Provide real-time technical support for departure, scheduling, and operational decisions
• Evaluate and authorize defects according to MEL/CDL and approved procedures within delegated authority limits
• Coordinate internal and off-site AOG events, including the mobilization of approved external AMOs

What you will bring to the role:

• Valid Transport Canada AME License (M2)
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in aeronautical maintenance
• Prior experience in commercial air operator maintenance control or fleet coordination
• Strong background in line maintenance, defect evaluation, MEL/CDL application, and AOG decision-making
• Excellent knowledge of CARs, MCM, MPM, and OEM technical data
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems (CAMP, Traxxall, AMOS or equivalent)
• Experience working on Bombardier business jets is considered an asset
