Job description

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual, and Detailed Procedures Documents. You will also ensure that all aircraft technical documents and Canadian Aviation Regulations are strictly adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals, and Transport Canada requirements.
  • Maintain an AME – M2 license and ACA qualifications, as required, on company aircraft.
  • Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and full 'G' Driver’s License.
  • Liaise with the Lead and MOC regarding scheduled assigned overnight work packages.
  • Ensure that all technical documentation, such as maintenance releases associated with defects or Work Packs, is accomplished as per company standards prior to submission to Technical Records.
  • Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance and generate logs for any equipment that requires repair.
  • Maintain consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Support AOG maintenance system-wide as required.
  • Assist the Lead in ensuring the hangar work areas, including all locations in the hangar, office, as well as service vehicles and equipment, are kept clean to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize the SMS reporting program for any hazards or incidents that may occur.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • 3-5 years aircraft maintenance experience
  • AME M2 license (Can consider candidates close to completing exams)
  • Q400 experience (Nice to have)

You will work on a rotational shift (5-5-4) with two weeks from 7 AM to 7 PM and the following two weeks from 7 PM to 7 AM. The position is based at Ottawa International Airport (CYOW) in a clean and bright aircraft hangar.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.
