Description

As a licensed M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with one or more years of experience working on large aircraft, you’re looking for an opportunity that leverages your experience and provides more autonomy. This position supports our UK operations, with rotations of 5 weeks on/5 weeks off.

Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients. Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct maintenance on fleet aircraft or aircraft components in accordance with the applicable standards of airworthiness.
  2. Troubleshoot faulty systems.
  3. Track and plan maintenance activities and coordinate with Dispatch as required.
  4. Maintain spares packages through communication with the stores department.
  5. Maintain aircraft records using computerized maintenance tracking systems.
  6. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all required paperwork.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 year of licensed AME experience, preferably on larger aircraft.
  2. Possess Transport Canada AME License M1.
  3. Previous experience working on the D228 or SC-7 Skyvan is a distinct advantage.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  5. Strong computer skills.
  6. Proven observational, decision-making, and time management skills.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven leadership abilities.

Work Conditions:

  1. This position supports our UK operations with rotations of 5 weeks on/5 weeks off. All travel, accommodations, and a per diem for meals are provided.
  2. Rotational position with accommodations and travel provided.
