Job summary

FutureSSM is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics to perform maintenance tasks on Dash 8 Q400, Dash 8 100/300, CRJ series, Boeing 737 and Embraer aircraft. You will work under the Production Manager, perform maintenance, and mentor apprentices.

The role requires strong communication skills, a team-player attitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. Competitive wages and overtime opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • Transport Canada AME License in the E Category with experience on Dash-8 Q400 or CRJ100/200/700/900 aircraft preferred.
  • Diploma from an accredited college in aircraft maintenance.
  • Preference for endorsement on the listed aircraft.
  • Strong reading comprehension of English in Aircraft Manuals and Publications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and related experience.
  • Must obtain an Airport Restricted Area Pass.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Job Purpose:

Our continuous growth creates a demand for heavy maintenance lines. We service the Dash 8 Q400, Dash 8 100/300 aircraft, along with the CRJ100/200/700/900 aircraft, Boeing 737 (all series) and Embraer E170/175 aircraft.

Job Description:

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics, under the supervision of the Production Manager, you will perform maintenance tasks and mentor apprentices.

Aircraft maintenance is a challenging and exciting career – fast, intense, deadline-driven, and very high-tech.

Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Carry out various maintenance tasks in accordance with the manufacturer’s manuals and data.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Request parts and materials using the manufacturer’s manuals and data.
  • Complete maintenance releases for work performed and ensure clear and accurate documentation.
  • Mentor apprentices and trainees in best practices.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in company SMS and report all hazards or incidents in accordance with company reporting procedures.
  • Ensure a clean work area and exercise FOD vigilance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Transport Canada AME License in the E Category, with previous experience on Dash-8 Q400, Classic Dash 8, or CRJ100/200/700/900 aircraft (preferred).
  • Graduated from an accredited college with a diploma in aircraft maintenance
  • Preference will be given to individuals holding an endorsement for the listed aircraft.
  • Good understanding of the English language with the ability to read, understand and follow instructions contained within Aircraft Manuals and Publications as they relate to Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience.
  • Must be able to obtain an Airport Restricted Area Pass.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.

Working hours:

Working hours are mainly 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, and overtime is scheduled when required. Extra hours may be required to meet project deadlines and support operations during critical times.
