Job summary

KASI Aviation Services Inc. (KASI), part of Hexagon, is a North American flight service provider and leader in airborne Lidar and Bathymetric survey operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 license and have experience performing inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with Transport Canada regulations. A commitment to safety and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Hold an AME License “M” (Transport Canada) and have minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Navajo and Chieftain aircraft and TIO-540 engines is a strong asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

  • Line maintenance in the hangar and on-field maintenance events.
  • Travel to meet aircraft and pilot for on-site maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document work in maintenance software.
  • Communicate snags and coordinate planned maintenance with base operations.

*Position includes both on-site work at our hangar as well as regular travel from spring to fall supporting remote aerial surveying projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in aircraft maintenance. They must hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M1 license and have experience performing inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with Transport Canada regulations. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues are essential. The candidate should also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing operational demands, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Experience with Navajo and Chieftain aircraft and proficiency in using maintenance tracking software are considered strong assets.

Responsibilities
  • Line maintenance in the hangar
  • Travel to meet aircraft and pilot for on-field maintenance events
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on the aircraft systems, replacing parts and documenting work done on the aircraft in maintenance software
  • Communicate snags, issues, and observations to the PRM, and help coordinate planned maintenance events with the base of operations.
Qualifications
  • Hold an AME License “M” from Transport Canada (M1).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the maintenance of civil or military aircraft.
  • Experience with TIO-540 engines.
  • Can work collaboratively with members of various teams.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability to change and shifting priorities and have the ability to stay calm under pressure. Can draw from a range of practices to implement innovative solutions to a variety of problems. Has ability to contribute to the successful implementation of change.
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills and intermediate French verbal required.
