Job summary

LKQ Corp. au Canada cherche un agent du traitement pour effectuer les activités quotidiennes du département de traitement, conformément aux normes et réglementations en vigueur, afin d'assurer un démantèlement des automobiles sûr et efficace.

Le poste est à temps plein et sans supervision hiérarchique directe. Profil recherché: arrière-plan en réparation carrosserie/mécanique ou expérience en démantèlement; aptitude à manipuler des outils et un engagement envers la sécurité et les procédures

Qualifications

• Formation souhaitée en réparation corporelle, mécanique ou expérience équivalente en démantèlement.
• Capacité à lire et suivre des directives de sécurité et procédures.
• Utilisation basique d’outils et matériel de réparation.

Responsibilities

• Aider le démantelleur/ Formateur dans le démantèlement des véhicules.
• Apprendre et exécuter le système de démantèlement, étiquetage et stockage des pièces.
• Travailler avec les démantelleurs de moteur pour apprendre le démontage du moteur.
• Respecter les normes de sécurité et maintenir un lieu de travail sûr et sans danger.
• Assumer d’autres tâches assignées par le superviseur.

Responsable du traitement

Responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Processing Department following current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Production Manager to assure that the automobiles are dismantled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist Dismantler/Trainer with dismantling vehicles.
• Learn and complete the system of dismantling, tagging and storing of all parts.
• Work with Engine Dismantlers as needed to learn engine dismantling.
• Comply with all safety standards and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

• Education & Experience Background in either body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience.
• May be required to have own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally.
• May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
• Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved.
• Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.
• Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.
• The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment.
• Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions.
• May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
