LKQ Canada Auto Parts, Inc is seeking an Automotive Dismantler in Alberta to support parts removal and drivetrain disassembly with strict quality checks. You will label parts for stock and collaborate to meet time-sensitive orders in a safe workspace.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive repair experience and knowledge of auto parts, can lift up to 50 lbs, and work well in a team. LKQ offers full-time roles and progressive benefits within a large nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive parts.
• Diploma in mechanics or bodywork (Strong Asset!).
• Hands-on job experience.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs without restrictions.
• Must own and maintain all the tools necessary.

Responsibilities

• Remove requested parts to fulfill orders on vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner.
• Individually dismantle drivetrain assemblies into components after assemblies have been removed from the vehicle.
• Label and tag each part to be placed in stock.
• Check the quality and product type of the inventoried parts.
• Participate in daily team goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Automotive Dismantler plays a critical role in ensuring a positive customer experience. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a quality part as described. The Yard Dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who must work in a fast-paced environment, is hardworking, and who can successfully meet production quotas. You must be able to multitask, communicate well with others, have hands-on automotive repair experience with a knowledge of automobiles. What does a day look like for a Dismantler?

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours
• Is subject to frequent interruptions
• Is subject to intense physical labour, repetitive lifting
• Must be able to lift at least 50-75 lbs

Working Conditions

Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to extreme cold & extreme heat. The noise level is moderately loud.
