Job summary

Mobility Global is seeking a Senior AI Architect to define and govern reference architectures for enterprise AI/ML workloads. You will establish standards, review high-risk designs, and publish reusable patterns to empower engineering teams.

You will lead research on AI/ML techniques, convert findings into formal standards, and guide build-vs-buy decisions in partnership with enterprise teams. This role shapes the AI technology roadmap for the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development.
• 5+ years in AI/ML.
• Focus on reference architectures, technology standards, design patterns, and platform strategy for AI/ML workloads.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures for AI/ML workloads (training, inference, RAG, agentic, fine-tuning, etc.).
• Establish technology standards: approved frameworks, model providers, data platforms, integration patterns.
• Review architectural designs for high-risk or novel AI initiatives directly; delegate routine reviews.
• Create reusable patterns, blueprints, and starter kits for engineering teams.
• Train and enable project architects and tech leads to apply reference architectures.
• Lead architecture research and technology evaluation; horizon scan emerging AI/ML techniques.
• Convert research findings into actionable standards and present recommendations.
• Make build-vs-buy recommendations grounded in research.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, cloud platform, and data teams to align AI architecture.

What You'll Do:

• Define and maintain reference architectures for AI/ML workloads (training, inference, RAG, agentic, fine-tuning, etc.)
• Establish technology standards: approved frameworks, model providers, data platforms, integration patterns
• Review architectural designs for high-risk or novel AI initiatives directly; delegates routine design reviews to engineering leads by creating published standards and checklists
• Create reusable patterns, blueprints, and starter kits that engineering teams can apply independently
• Train and enables project architects and tech leads to apply reference architectures without needing central involvement for every initiative
• Lead the team's architecture research and technology evaluation: conducts horizon scanning of emerging AI/ML techniques, architectures, and platforms; runs time-boxed validation prototypes to assess fit for the enterprise; publishes internal research briefs with findings and recommendations
• Convert research findings into actionable standards: updates reference architectures, approved technology lists, and design patterns based on validated research; presents recommendations to Head of AI Governance and Architecture and peer leads for cross-cutting review before adoption
• Make build-vs-buy recommendations grounded in research evidence
• Partner with enterprise architecture, cloud platform, and data teams to ensure AI architecture aligns with the broader technology landscape
• Partner with the Cybersecurity team so that reference architectures and design reviews incorporate the AI Security controls, secure-design requirements, and red-teaming findings of that team
