Trimble is seeking an AI Software Developer Engineer in Test to lead QA for AI components integrated into our construction software suite. You will design AI testing tools and automation to accelerate release cycles and improve product quality across global teams.

The role requires a strong background in QA, hands-on automation with Python/C#/Java, and experience with AI concepts such as LLMs/NLP/ML. Onsite in Kamloops, four days per week.

Competenze

  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least two years of software QA and test automation experience.
  • Hands-on test automation using Python, C#, or Java.
  • Experience testing embedded AI products or applying AI concepts (LLMs, NLP, ML).
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) server environments and agentic AI workflows.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge AI testing methodologies and autonomous AI agents, directly accelerating release cycles and transforming product quality across our flagship construction software suite.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:
  • Lead the quality assurance and test execution for new AI components embedded directly into Trimble software.
  • Design, develop, and adapt custom AI testing tools and automated frameworks to elevate team productivity.
  • Pioneer and advocate for modern AI test tools, best practices, and automation pipelines across the global QA community.
  • Implement automated workflows to evaluate and improve software release quality continuously.
  • Identify and mitigate model biases and risks to guarantee high-performing AI features.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with at least two years of software QA and test automation experience.
  • Hands-on test automation experience using Python, C#, or Java alongside strong QA process fundamentals.
  • Proven experience testing embedded AI products or applying basic AI concepts such as LLMs, NLP, and Machine Learning.
  • Practical familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) server environments and agentic AI workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to build AI agents using diverse AI tools within a QA framework.
Bonus Points For:
  • Background in testing embedded AI, chatbots, or cloud and virtualization deployment environments.
  • Exposure to performance and security testing techniques.
  • Practical understanding of construction back-office functions or accounting workflows.
  • Familiarity with Jira and global team collaboration.

  • Location: Kamloos, Canada (Onsite - Four Days Per Week)
  • Travel Requirement: Minimal
