Job summary

Xtract One, based in Toronto, is seeking an Object Tester to join our engineering team in-office. You will help train AI-based threat detection systems by simulating real-life walkthroughs using various items, including laptops, phones, keys, and imitation weapons, in our lab.

Reporting to Engineering, you will perform repetitive walks around testing pillars, follow a strict checklist, and manage test items while contributing improvements to procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk continuously for long periods while carrying items up to 8lbs/3.5kg.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform repeated walkthroughs while carrying a range of test items, primarily through a series of pillars around 20'/6m in height.
• Accurately operate from a checklist, ensuring every walkthrough is consistent with its requirements.
• Maintain and organize the objects used for testing.
• Contribute feedback to improve testing procedures.
