Xtract One is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of SaaS and hardware security products. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across teams in a hybrid work model with three days in office in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience, demonstrated ability to influence architecture across teams.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code and serverless technologies.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Successful delivery of complex and scalable software solutions with a strategic impact on business outcomes.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and security best practices.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud with emphasis on data ingestion, business intelligence, and security best practices.
• Experience with STM32 firmware boards.
• Experience with sensor-integrated IoT hardware is highly desirable.
• Experience with AI Spec-Driven development.
