Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada is seeking a student with a strong foundation in AI and software development to design, build, and evaluate AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, and automation. You will partner with engineering teams to translate business needs into practical AI-driven solutions and develop APIs and automation tools with Python.

This role emphasizes data analysis, dashboards, and visuals to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree or College diploma at a Canadian university or college
Fields include Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, AI, Statistics, Mathematics
Strong programming experience in Python
Familiarity with APIs, automation frameworks, and application design principles
Knowledge of Generative AI concepts incl. LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI agents
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor AI or GitHub Copilot

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evaluate AI-powered applications using LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, and intelligent workflow automation
Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze workflows and identify automation opportunities
Translate business requirements into practical AI-driven solutions
Develop software applications, APIs, and automation tools using Python and AI-assisted development platforms
Analyze engineering and operational data
Generate reports, dashboards, visualizations, and actionable insights for data-driven decision making
Participate in Agile development activities, design reviews, AI adoption initiatives, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions across global engineering teams
