Job summary

RBC in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Risk Intern to design and implement AI-driven solutions for CCR risk management, partnering with the Associate Director in Strategic Delivery to accelerate automation and improve data governance.

You will develop AI agents, leverage LLMs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline intake, standardize investigations, and deliver measurable business value during the 4-month winter 2027 student placement.

Qualifications

• Working experience in data analysis or quantitative analytics.
• Broad knowledge of traded products across various asset classes.
• Strong analytical and independent problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent programming skills (Python or equivalent).
• Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to team objectives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop an AI agent that analyzes external program requirements, assesses downstream/upstream impact, and decomposes tasks into tickets and releases, with a roadmap for future enhancements including IT effort collection and automated routing.
• Build automated release impact analysis tools to identify inconsistencies, missing data, and anomalies in release configurations and dependencies, enabling rapid impact assessment for business user sign-off.
• Support the development and automation of risk analysis infrastructure, standardizing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
• Document processes, tools, and best practices to ensure team sustainability and knowledge transfer.
