Job summary

AMD in Markham, ON is seeking a hands-on engineer to build and operate development infrastructure and AI solutions for AI-assisted silicon design. You will modernize design workflows, manage compute/storage, and create telemetry to measure performance and impact.

The role collaborates with RTL, verification, and CAD teams to translate hardware development methods into scalable AI-enabled workflows, with a focus on reliability and auditability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience building production services, APIs, automation solutions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Python and automation skills; experience with C++ is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge of ASIC development flows and RTL design awareness is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Modernize source control, code management, and release workflows for design and verification teams, including repository architecture and CI/CD implementation.
• Build and operate the compute and storage infrastructure that supports AI services and asset management.
• Develop instrumentation and telemetry frameworks for AI solutions, including usage tracking and performance analysis.
• Establish benchmarking methodologies to quantify AI solution quality, productivity impact, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with RTL, verification, and CAD teams to translate development methodologies into AI-enabled workflows.
• Drive AI solution adoption through onboarding, documentation, training, and user support across IP, SoC, and platform development teams.
