Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a large retail client in Canada. The role focuses on an internal agentic engineering platform to streamline the development lifecycle, from requirements through to verification.

The ideal candidate blends AI engineering with platform engineering and has hands-on experience deploying AI agents in production. You will build AI agents and agentic workflows, automate engineering processes, and contribute to internal tooling and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents from the ground up and deploying them into production.
• Experience with MCP, evals, guardrails and agentic workflows.
• Strong platform or systems engineering background.
• Experience building and productionizing scalable systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and developer tooling.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end SDLC.
• Experience building solutions at scale.

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our large retail clients in Canada. This team is building an internal agentic engineering platform designed to improve how software moves through the development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, review and verification.

This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, platform engineering and developer productivity. The ideal candidate is a strong software/platform engineer who has hands‑on experience building AI agents and taking them into production.

Responsibilities

• Build and productionize AI agents and agentic workflows
