Job summary

Mercury is seeking a forward-deployed lead to embed with teams, learn workflows, and translate AI potential into measurable improvements. You’ll partner with executives to set success metrics before building AI-powered workflows and internal tools, iterating to achieve tangible outcomes.

You’ll drive change management, deliver training and documentation, and ensure durable handoffs so teams can sustain improvements. This role sits at the intersection of builder, operator, and change agent.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product operations, or a similar role where you owned a business outcome end to end.
• Hands-on experience building with AI: agents, workflows, automations, internal tools.
• Able to define KPI, plan, and build in ambiguity and defend all three to a skeptical team lead.
• Fluent with tooling (APIs, low-code/no-code builders, SQL) and able to translate capabilities into tangible impact.

Responsibilities

• Embed with Mercury teams to deeply learn their work and identify where AI could improve outcomes.
• Partner with functional leaders to define a clear success metric before building.
• Build and ship AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools using Mercury’s AI platform.
• Test and iterate until measurable results are achieved, not just until production.
• Lead change management with training, documentation, and ongoing support.
• Create durable handoffs with reliable tools and clear operating documentation.
