Job summary

Kinaxis is seeking a Co-op/Intern on the AI Innovation team in Ottawa to contribute to an AI-driven platform. You will work like a full-time developer, aided by a mentor, and help build capabilities for agents used to automate and optimize enterprise decisions.

You will explore AI agent behavior, contribute to prototypes and demos, and receive training to make an impact within weeks. The term is 8 or 12 months, with a January 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Completed 3rd year of or recently graduated from a program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in building and shipping software.
• Interest in AI agents and how they are built.
• Comfortable writing code in Python and using Git/GitHub.
• Clear written communication; comfortable with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• As a Co-op/Intern on the AI Innovation team you will be treated like a full-time developer and work on design to production code for our agentic AI platform.
• You will be mentored by a colleague who provides support and guidance.
• You will build new capabilities into the platform, including tools that AI agents use to get work done.
• Help determine how our agents behave in the real world and what to do about it.
• Projects may include new product ideas, prototypes, and demos for the team and executives.
• You will have access to training and begin making an impact within weeks.
• Projects may evolve depending on the codebase state at start date.
• The codebase is in early stages; your project will be scoped collaboratively.
