Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, AI Financial Management to drive financial analysis, reporting, and cost monitoring for AI initiatives in a Toronto-based role. You will partner with Technology and AI teams to track AI costs, ensure data integrity, and support budgeting and forecasting for AI investments.

The role focuses on building cost models, dashboards, and insights to guide decision-making, while applying governance, controls, and adherence to financial policies across AI spend.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, business, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting.
• Foundational understanding of cloud/tech cost drivers (AI exposure is a plus).
• Strong analytical and Excel/data skills.
• Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (Power BI, Apptio, cloud cost tools) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end financial tracking and analysis of AI-related spend across infrastructure, platforms, models, and data.
• Maintain and enhance cost attribution models and reporting frameworks.
• Perform in-depth analysis of AI cost drivers and identify trends, anomalies and efficiency opportunities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with driver-based analyses and forward-looking projections.
• Develop and deliver recurring dashboards and financial insights for stakeholders.
