Job summary

First National Financial LP in Toronto is hiring a UX Designer to design AI-enabled mortgage workflows. You will conduct research, map journeys, and craft IA, wireframes and specs within a product squad alongside PMs and engineers.

You will ensure clear AI outputs with explainability and trusted decisions, driving adoption through usability testing, prototyping, and iteration. This role offers a full-time schedule in a collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

• Portfolio with user research, workflow design, prototyping and usability testing.
• 5+ years in UX, product or service design for complex digital products.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, design systems and IA for engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research with underwriters, brokers and operations.
• Map journeys, blueprints, pain points and handoffs for product squads.
• Design flows, IA, wireframes and production-ready specs with Figma.
• Make AI outputs clear with evidence, explanations and actions.
• Collaborate with PM and engineers to deliver feasible, trusted solutions.
• Define usability metrics and iterate based on feedback.
• Support UAT, pilots, rollout and post-launch learning.
• Create reusable AI interaction patterns and guidance.
