Job summary

AutoCanada is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Information Management team in Canada. You will translate business problems into well-defined AI agent specifications and design agents using Azure AI Foundry, with close collaboration across Microsoft Fabric environments.

You will build, test, and deploy agent solutions, integrating with enterprise tools and data sources, while balancing performance, cost, and governance. Strong Python/SQL skills and security knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–5+ years of software/AI/analytics engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, including agents and tool integration.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric platforms (Data Agents, Warehouses, Lakehouses, SQL Endpoints).
• Strong knowledge of Azure Identity and security (Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault).
• Solid understanding of modern AI concepts (prompting, RAG, agents).
• Ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions and present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into agent specifications (objectives, data sources, tools, outputs).
• Design and build AI agents using Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft tech.
• Integrate agents with enterprise tools and APIs.
• Develop, test, and optimize agent instructions and workflows.
• Deploy, version, monitor, and support agents in production.
• Collaborate with Fabric environments including warehouses and Lakehouse.
• Evaluate retrieval strategies balancing accuracy, performance and cost.
