Job summary

AutoCanada is seeking an AI Engineer to join the Information Management team. You will translate business problems into agent specifications and design AI agents using Azure AI Foundry, integrating with enterprise tools and data sources.

You will work across Microsoft Fabric environments to drive practical AI solutions that improve decision‑making and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with business leaders, ensure governance and security, and stay at the forefront of AI technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
• 2–5+ years of software/AI engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure AI Foundry and AI agent development.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into agent specifications, including objectives, data sources, and success criteria.
• Design and build AI agents using Azure AI Foundry and Microsoft AI tech.
• Integrate agents with enterprise tools (Foundry Data Agents, file/search systems, APIs).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize agent instructions, prompts, workflows, and tool integrations.
• Evaluate agent quality with testing and benchmarking; deploy and monitor in production.
• Collaborate with Microsoft Fabric environments (Warehouses, Lakehouse, SQL Endpoints).
• Recommend retrieval strategies balancing accuracy, performance, and cost.
• Implement governance and security controls (RBAC, service principals, authentication).
• Partner with security/compliance teams to meet standards.
