Our client, a startup in architectural innovation, is reimagining how buildings are designed and delivered. They are transforming traditional workflows by leveraging AI-powered tools that accelerate project timelines, automate code validations, and improve cost control.We are seeking a forward-thinking AI Specialist to join a long-term effort focused on revolutionizing architectural design workflows. You’ll collaborate with design and leadership teams to evaluate emerging AI tools and develop custom solutions to real-world architecture challenges.
It’s a long-term contract opportunity without an end date. The engagement is fully remote. The candidate can be located anywhere in Canada or LatAm. You'll need to have good English communication skills (at least B2+ or higher) for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and test emerging AI tools (LLMs, computer vision models, generative engines) for relevance to architectural workflows
- Identify high-impact automation opportunities throughout the architectural design lifecycle
- Develop AI/ML prototypes and tools for use in active residential design projects
- Build intelligent systems for site massing, layout generation, zoning/code analysis, and quantity extraction
- Integrate AI tools with existing software platforms such as Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Lumion
- Collaborate closely with architects to understand constraints, user needs, and workflow pain points
- Iteratively test, refine, and deploy tools across the project portfolio
Requirements and Experience:- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, computer vision, generative systems, or similar fields
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with 3D geometry, spatial data, or parametric design concepts
- Understanding of architecture, urban design, or construction processes
- Confident in evaluating software platforms, integrating APIs, and keeping pace with emerging tech trends
Nice-to-have:- Experience scripting or developing extensions for BIM/CAD platforms
- Prior exposure to architectural design environments or tool development for designers
- Interest in blending creative problem-solving with technical innovation
