Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking an AI-enabled Risk & Resilience Transformation Senior Manager to drive modernization of risk functions across financial services clients. You will guide automation, resilience, and controls while shaping technology strategy and architecture for risk platforms leveraging AI.

Your role includes helping develop client deliverables across enterprise and regulatory risk areas and leading senior-level workshops and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services risk and regulatory advisory, consulting, regulatory bodies, or industry roles across sectors such as banking, insurance, asset management, private equity, or financial crown corporations
  • Comfort with emerging Risk platforms and AI applied to risk and regulatory challenges
  • Deep expertise in regulatory requirements related to financial and non‑financial risk management (credit risk, operational risk, operational resilience, third‑party risk, compliance, enterprise risk management)
  • Proven track record managing and delivering complex client engagements involving senior executive stakeholders
  • Ability to craft innovative, customized solutions aligned with regulatory frameworks and business goals
  • Strong leadership and team management experience with diverse project teams
  • Advanced communication and reporting skills to convey complex concepts clearly
  • Experience driving business development activities, proposals, and client relationships
  • Commitment to continuous professional learning

In this role, you will guide Risk and Resilience Technology modernization through AI and will drive engagements which design, build, and operate solutions for clients. This role works at the intersection of strategy, technology enablement, and operations.

The Opportunity:

As an AI-Enabled Risk & Resilience Transformation Senior Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that’ll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:

  • Guide Risk Function modernization initiatives, embedding automation, resilience, and operational controls into a future‑state Risk and Resilience function
  • Lead the technology strategy and architecture for Risk and Resilience functions. This includes partnering with Risk platforms and leveraging AI
  • Leverage risk and regulatory knowledge and a broad advisory skillset to develop and enhance client deliverables across financial and non‑financial risk dimensions, including, enterprise risk, credit risk, operational resilience, third‑party risk, compliance risk, and others – ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations
  • Facilitate client workshops and collaborative sessions, applying strong industry insight, business acumen, and critical thinking to structure and communicate complex regulatory and risk concepts clearly and effectively
  • Involved in business development efforts by contributing to proposal writing, marketing initiatives, and thought leadership that elevate PwC’s profile and demonstrate our expertise in risk and regulatory advisory
  • Enhance PwC’s leadership position in Risk and Regulatory Advisory through active participation in industry forums, client presentations, and the publication of insightful research and viewpoints
  • Proven experience from consulting, industry, or regulatory roles, with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements across non‑financial or financial risks (e.g., credit risk, operational risk, operational resilience, third‑party risk management, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, etc.)
  • Excellent report writing and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated experience managing senior‑level client relationships and collaborating effectively within diverse project teams

The salary range for this position is $147,300 - $197,300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
