Job summary

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage experienced educators across K-12 and higher education for teaching, curriculum design, assessment, and educational technology. You will translate day-to-day classroom work into high-quality training data.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in education and comfort with common tools like Google Classroom, Canvas, and PowerSchool, plus strong written communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in education (K-12 or higher-ed)
• Comfortable with classroom and instructional tools (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool)
• Strong written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Design realistic educational scenarios and tasks drawn from day-to-day work (e.g., lesson planning, assessment and item writing, grading against a rubric, differentiation and intervention, curriculum and unit design, IEPs and accommodations)
• Review and compare AI-generated educational outputs for accuracy, standards alignment (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, state or discipline standards), grade-level appropriateness, and sound pedagogical judgment
• Create structured examples that reflect how educators actually reason through problems
• Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI performs teaching and instructional tasks
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team
