Job summary
Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited is seeking an AI-first Business System Engineer - AI to accelerate adoption and design of intelligent workflows. Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and improving AI agents using Atlassian Rovo Studio or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Experience integrating Jira and Confluence to support requirements, work item creation, traceability, and delivery execution.
- Familiarity with Atlassian automation, marketplace apps, integrations, or reporting capabilities.
- Strong business analysis, process design, and enablement skills for AI-powered workflows.
Responsibilities
- AI Enablement and Agent Design: build AI agents that automate repetitive tasks, decompose requirements, create/update work items, summarize information, and improve decision-making.
- Translate business problems into AI-enabled workflow designs, including agent instructions, prompts, sources, inputs/outputs, guardrails, and human review points.
- Monitor adoption, collect feedback, analyze effectiveness, and continuously improve AI agents, automation rules, and Atlassian configurations.
- Promote responsible AI usage by ensuring outputs are reviewed, assumptions transparent, and workflows comply with standards and access controls.
- Atlassian Administration: configure Jira/Confluence settings, workflows, permissions, templates, and automations to improve project hygiene and traceability.
- Design Confluence templates, guidance pages, and knowledge structures to support AI agent performance and consistent delivery.
- Collaborate with BSA, Solution Architecture, Product, Engineering, QA, Delivery and business teams to identify high-value AI use cases.
