Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking a Winter 2027 Student/Coop placement to advance AI capabilities within Operational Risk. You will collaborate with risk subject matter experts to document AI use cases, assist throughout the development lifecycle, and experiment with LLMs to identify opportunities.

The role emphasizes change leadership and strong analytical, communication, and Python scripting skills. The position is a 4-month student placement with a start in January 2027 and end in April 2027,

What is the opportunity?

You will advance the AI capabilities of Operational Risk by supporting risk subject matter experts in the identification and documentation of AI use cases and their requirements. Through leveraging partnerships with AI and technology development teams, you will also support the delivery of AI use cases. This role requires a combination of business and technical skills to ensure Operational Risk AI needs are effectively being met.

This posting is for a 4-months Winter 2027 Student placement with a start date of January 2027, and end date of April 2027. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

• Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2027 ; or
• If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2027), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
