Job summary

Intact is seeking an AI Developer II (Intermediate) to join our growing AI team in Canada. This role focuses on delivering AI-powered data solutions and building AI foundations used by multiple squads.

You will evolve AI-based software products, drive ML initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years building ML/AI systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, SageMaker and related AI/ML services.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Terraform.
• Understanding GenAI, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns.
• Experience with MLOps: CI/CD for models, monitoring, experiment tracking, and reproducible deployments.
• Able to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

94,200 - 115,200

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years building ML or AI systems in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with AWS services relevant to AI/ML workloads: Bedrock, AgentCore, SageMaker.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Deep understanding of GenAI and agentic AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, RAG architectures, agentic orchestration patterns, and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience with MLOps practices: CI/CD for models, monitoring, experiment tracking, and reproducible deployments.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development workflows.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required given the necessity to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
