Job summary

BMO Capital Markets is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the Data Cognition Team. You will design, build, and maintain DevOps pipelines and infrastructure for AI and data-driven applications across Investment Banking and Global Markets.

The Data Cognition Team delivers AI-enabled products for multiple business units, leveraging cutting-edge tech to solve complex challenges and drive transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in a technical field and solid foundation in CS/data engineering.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (k8s), ArgoCD and deploying services like Kafka, Druid, OpenTelemetry.
• Proficient in Python, Go and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and tooling (CSPM, DSPM, ASPM).
• Experience with containerized environments and OCI image building.
• Familiar with DevOps tools (GitHub, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana).
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end DevOps pipelines for AI/data applications, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Enhance infrastructure for in-house data and analytics applications.
• Implement IaC for platform components and create automation tools for efficient management.
• Maintain and upgrade server infrastructure across multiple clusters.
• Improve monitoring and troubleshoot infrastructure issues quickly.
• Integrate enterprise tech for release and system integration.
• Stay current with DevOps, AI/ML, and cloud tech to improve processes.
