Job Description

We are seeking motivated Agronomy Summer Students to support our Agronomy team at our Lacombe Agro Centre and assist with tasks such as crop scouting, soil sampling, and general operational duties. This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a positive attitude in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. A background in agriculture is beneficial.

Position

Agronomy Summer Student

Term

Temporary contract for approximately 9 months, with an expected start in March or April of 2026

Full-time

40 hours per week

Availability Requirements

Weekdays - with potential weekend shifts during spring

Responsibilities
  • Assist with crop scouting and field trials to gather data and support agronomy decisions
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests
  • Maintain the chemical shed and ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals
  • Deliver chemicals as required, following safety and operational guidelines
  • Perform some general operational duties to support facility needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
