The Agriculture Manager reports into Industry Initiatives & Partnerships team, leveraging industry expertise and market knowledge, dedicated to accelerating growth and managing risk in the agriculture sector.
Role Description:
BMO Agriculture Managers play an integral role as internal experts in the field of agriculture for the line of business within Canadian Commercial Banking. Their knowledge of the industry is relied upon by account management and risk partners when evaluating the financial viability of farm operations. A component of this role is to provide farm valuation, which are used by internal stakeholders when making lending decisions. Agriculture Managers support local commercial market teams by sharing knowledge on market conditions, shifting industry trends and changes to the regulatory environment to reduce the potential for loan losses. The successful candidate must be a designated Professional Agrologist.
Facilitates growth initiatives for the Bank through significant business development and excellent management of key client relationships. Maintains an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications. Ensures the required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance policies.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
