Job summary

Green Diamond Equipment in Stratford, PE offers a full-time Agricultural Equipment Technician role to diagnose, service and repair agricultural equipment, including John Deere systems, on-site with some travel as needed.

Requirements include 2+ years in service repairs, a high school diploma, and a Diesel Mechanic Red Seal or apprenticeship preferred, plus a valid drivers license. Competitive compensation, benefits, boots and tool allowance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• High school certificate required.
• Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Certification and/or Apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Forklift license an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Precision Ag products
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• May attach components and adjust new farm equipment
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge, must be willing to travel
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Work with other departments as directed by your Service Manager
• Encourage and support teamwork, workplace safety and cooperative fun work environment
